Weekend Roundup 10/4
It has been a very work-focused week, but I for once planned an entire week of meals for home. That menu looked something like this:
- Monday – Fall vegetable curry with Boxcar Brewing Co. Pale Ale
- Tuesday – Quick Spaghetti with Vineyard at Hershey Merlot
- Wednesday – Plans changed, so we split leftovers – I took the vegetable curry, added some Torchbearer Sauces # 7 and washed it down with a Spring House Seven Gates Pale Ale.
Tonight I’m planning on Beef Stroganoff. I wasn’t planning on 80-degree weather. Oh well.
Not drinking? Read this.

I’m hoping to knock some items off of this fall home prep checklist this weekend. I need to buy mulch and mums and pack up the back patio.
Saturday evening, however, I’ll make time for some girlfriend QT – we’re planning on a light dinner, following by a coffee and a glass of wine. Or maybe just two glasses of wine.
And maybe for the football game on Sunday, I’ll make this.

Look at you getting busy in the kitchen! Very impressive, especially the stroganoff – that’s always one dish that sounds way too complicated for me to attempt.
Hope your week is going well.
I actually cook most of the time, but we usually get so busy during the week that we scrap it and either go out or order in one night.
Stroganoff — at the least the recipe I have — is super easy! Just takes some extra time on the stove (cooking time, not active time).
