Weekend Roundup 3/14
Earlier this week I celebrated my birthday with dinner at Cafe Bruges – mussels and frites, of course! – followed by fro-yo from Bamboo.
Tomorrow night, I’m headed to Hershey Theatre for American Idiot. I’m also hoping to make it to part of 3rd in the Burg (so much going on – see below), but overall, it’s a rare, minimal-plan weekend. And I’m pretty excited about that.
Of course, it’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend, including two local parades and more green beer, Guinness and Irish whiskey than you can shake a stick. My St. Patrick’s Day plans include enjoying an Innis & Gunn’s Irish Whiskey Cask beer and visiting my mom for my birthday dinner (crossing my fingers there’s a homemade black raspberry pie at the end of that rainbow).
By the way, if the usual St. Paddy’s Day fanfare doesn’t get you excited, I’ve compiled a few alternatives in this week’s Out with Sara column. Check it out.
