As the Harrisburg City Islanders begin their 14th season on City Island, they look to give their fans a whole new soccer experience at FNB Field.

Soccer isn’t always about the game itself — it has become a community event to support your local club. Fans usually start their game day early with a few pints and chants at the local pub before heading to the game.

Until this season, the City Islanders lacked the traditional soccer environment that makes going to the games more than just about the play on the field.

For this season, the team has unveiled new ways to make the fan experience on City Island better than it has ever been before complete with a supporters group, fun events all summer long, and more.

It all starts with the Islanders home opener on Saturday, April 15 against their in-state rivals, the Bethlehem Steel FC.

Changing Gameday

In 2017, the Islanders are going to change the way their fans experience a game on City Island.

Fans can now expect a fun, party-like atmosphere at every game. To create this raucous environment, the Islanders will lean on their first official supporters group, the Capital City Crew.

From pregame drinks at local bars to walks to the stadium, the CCC is going to be the lifeblood that energizes the Islanders fans.
