Unlike most beer dinners, Tattered Flag Brewery + Still Works offers the option to pair the six-course dinner with beer, cocktails made with Tattered Flag spirits, or wine selections from Cassel Vineyards.

When purchasing tickets, be sure to select which drink option you would like to pair with your dinner.

A cocktail hour from 6-7 p.m. kicks off the dinner with Bourbon Sweet Potato Dunkle with Ghost Peppers paired with a Maple Bacon Crostini.

Before each course, you will get a description of the beer, cocktail, or wine you’re tasting, and why it pairs well with the dish.

First course: Sweet Potato Soup
Beer pairing: Candied Yam Ale

Second course: Green Bean Sausage Casserole
Beer pairing: Cranberry IPA

Third course: Maple Pomegranate Ham with Rum Pineapples and Cherries accompanied by Cheddar Au Gratin and Apples
Beer pairing: Sah’ti Ale

Fourth course: Chocolate Peppermint Cheesecake
Beer pairing: Chocolate Shake Stout

Stick around after the dinner for a social hour from 8-9 p.m. featuring Gingerbread Brown Ale on Nitro, brewed in collaboration with Wolf Brewing Co.

The cocktail menu includes:

  • Egg Nog Rum
  • Hard Apple Cider Shine
  • Gin Fizz
  • Old Fashioned

Went last year and it was awesome. This year, looking forward to the Chocolate Cake Stout!

Quite inventive, and looks very tasty! I would most definitely pair the beer with my menu; very intrigued (and a little scared) by “Candied Yam Ale”. Also have to wonder about Cheddar Au Gratin (cheese with cheese? can’t be bad!)
