Wedding three of five (yes, that number has increased) of this season is slated for Friday at the Peter Allen House. I better bring a sweater! I'm hoping the rest of the weekend will revolve around housework and catching up with my dear old Tivo, but one never knows.
There is a ton going on – a lot of really quality events, in fact. Be sure to check tomorrow's column for info on Tres Bonne Annee and the Wild Mushroom and Game Dinners in Hershey.
The lowdown on all the fun is after the jump.

Yikes, sorry for the short notice, people. I am joining several other local media personalities this Tuesday, Feb. 24 at ABC Camp Hill for “Yappy Hour.” We did the same event last year, raising more than $1,700 to help benefit Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance on National Spay Day.
Jen Shade of 105.7 The X, and Diane Grey of MIX 106.7, will stir things up from from 5 to 6 p.m.; Bob Hauer, WHP 580 radio, from 6 to 7 p.m. I’ll be pouring drinks from 7-8 p.m. All of the tips collected by guest bartenders will go to the CPAA.
You’re likely familiar with all of ABC’s fine brews, most which will be just $3 during the event, and ABC also will feature three special drinks in honor of the event: the Greyhound, the Kitty Cat and the Dog Biscuit. Read more after the jump.
About a month ago, Mantis Collective co-owners, Andrew Guth and Tara Chickey, announced quietly on their website that their small but quirky art space would be closing.
This Friday, Nov. 30, marks the beginning of Mantis’ final exhibit, running tomorrow through Dec. 23. A reception from 8-10 p.m. will mark both the opening and perhaps the closing of the gallery.
I should write now before I fall asleep. It’s 11 p.m. Cairo-time, 5 p.m. Harrisburg-time. Upon our arrival here today, most of the group headed to the pool bar. I had a couple Stella Lagers, an authentic Egyptian beer, and swam around talking to new people.
