I just finished reading Nancy Eshelman‘s current column. In it, she surveys her family for reasons why the beach is better than the ‘burg. Most are good points and items I would have mentioned on my own, like the fact that you don’t have to wear shoes.
The summer that I lived at the beach I only wore shoes when I went to work, and not a minute more.
Stopped in to the new Molly Brannigan’s, for lunch today. 20 minute wait. Left. Came back. Sat at the bar (which, though a daylight activity, probably qualifies the meal for an Out with Sara write-up) and ordered, specifically, two waters with lemon. These came to us as waters with lime.
I guess that’s how they do it in Ireland.
Yesterday, I had my first McDonald’s meal since watching Super Size Me last Monday at the Midtown Cinema.
I should write now before I fall asleep. It’s 11 p.m. Cairo-time, 5 p.m. Harrisburg-time. Upon our arrival here today, most of the group headed to the pool bar. I had a couple Stella Lagers, an authentic Egyptian beer, and swam around talking to new people.
