Grand Opening: Grand Illusion Hard Cider {GIVEAWAY}

Grand Illusion Hard Cider, Pennsylvania’s newest and largest urban cidery, opens to the public on Friday, Feb. 23.

Grand Illusion Cider aims to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to downtown Carlisle in the form of the state’s largest cider and wine bar, serving more cider than anyone with 15 dedicated taps.

The cider-heavy list will feature both in-house produced ciders alongside ciders from throughout the state and region. Five beers and six Pennsylvania wines also will be available on tap.

Beyond the draft list, Grand Illusion hopes to wow customers with service, as well.

“All of our servers must achieve Level One Certification from The United States Association of Cider Makers, a 75 question exam,” said Chad Kimmel, Grand Illusion’s owner. “They can’t touch the floor until they pass it. That’s how much we care about what we are doing.”

You’ll be able to pair your drink of choice with food from their menu, which includes local cheese and charcuterie boards, small plates, and hand-made flatbread pizzas.

Grand Illusion’s space is in the heart of downtown Carlisle at 26 West High St., in a remodeled 19th-century building. The cider and wine bar spans two floors with two bars and entertainment space on each level. Additional private space is available “for those special, magical, occasions.”

Grand Illusion opens on Friday, Feb. 23. Following, its hours of operation will be 4-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 4-11 p.m. Friday, 12-11 p.m. Saturday, and 12-7 p.m. Sunday.
